The Opportunity 

AFMH is currently seeking experienced Farm Hands to be part of our progressive business at Coomboona Farms in Coomboona, Northern Victoria.

Joining the Cropping and Harvest teams, Farm Hands will be involved in the production of quality crops for silage and forage to feed our cows.

AFMH operates multiple sites across eastern Australia. Dairy operations are located at Moxey Farms in Gooloogong, NSW, as well as Coomboona Farms in Coomboona, VIC. In addition, AFMH operates Ladysmith Farms a young stock operation near Wagga Wagga, NSW and extensive cropping land in Torrumbarry, VIC.

Key accountabilities include:

• Operating state of the art machinery and equipment with the latest technology
• Involved in farm work such as mowing, spreading, raking and harvesting
• Assisting with farm irrigation
• Actively be involved in general farming duties which will include general labouring
• Completing all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Working as part of a team

The successful applicant will possess:

• Experience in farming activities with silage and row-cropping advantageous
• Experience operating farm machinery along with knowledge of farming and cropping technology
• A genuine interest in farm operations
• Good communication skills
• Drivers licence (HC Truck licence advantageous)
