The Opportunity

Harvey Beef is currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as MSA Grader on site at the Harvey plant. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality beef products. In this exciting and challenging role, you will be working in a fast-paced environment and will have the opportunity to continuously improve your skills through training and development.

The Role

• Assessing and grading each carcass according to MSA Grader criteria
• Chiller assess all eligible carcasses using the AUS-MEAT Chiller Assessment
• Adjusting chiller temperatures, fan speeds and spray chill during the chilling process
• Conducting scale check
• Conducting weekly, monthly, and ultimate pH declines
• Data input on various forms
• Quartering all carcasses

Selection Criteria

• Experience working in meat industry is preferred
• AUS-Meat Accreditation Certificate, or willingness to get certified
• MSA Grader Certificate, or willingness to get certified
• Understand and comply with Workplace Health and Safety standards
• Efficiently collaborate and perform well in a dynamic team setting with minimal supervision
