We have been engaged in recruiting an Accounts Payable Officer for an exciting and dynamic property development business. The business consists of a diverse range of complementary offerings and is enjoying a strong period of financial growth. They are based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the organisation as an Accounts Payable Officer. It is a permanent full-time position with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week. In a high-performing culture, you will work in a tight-knit team and report to the Financial Controller. You will be required to manage key relationships, both internally and externally, and across all levels. This is a hands-on role that will partner closely with multiple areas of the business, including the development team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end accounts payable duties
- Providing administrative and accounting support to the finance team and broader business
- Maintenance of the AP inbox, recording & payment of invoices and serving as a key contact for creditors
- Ensure invoices are authorised based on Company Policy before processing for payment
- Review and process employee expenses & reimbursements
- Perform bank and credit/debit card reconciliations
- Ad hoc tasks as required by the finance team
The successful candidate
In order to secure this position, you will be a hands-on Accounts Payable Officer. The following will be favourably looked upon:
- Relevant industry experience in a similar Accounts Payable role – property/construction experience would be advantageous
- Systems / ERP experience – NetSuite experience is highly desirable
- Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Stakeholder management experience
- Deadline-driven
- Outstanding communication skills
