The Food & Beverage Attendant – Room Service tailors each guest’s experience to their unique tastes, creating memorable moments in line with the InterContinental Service Standards. We are seeking a Part-Time Food & Beverage Attendant with the ability to confidently deliver unforgettable experiences. This role requires a warm welcome, inspired recommendations, and seamless service. Specifically, we are looking for a barista who brings exceptional skills, solid experience, and a double shot of enthusiasm to make every moment special.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Warmly welcome guests and provide inspired recommendations to enhance their in-room dining experience.
  • Ensure seamless and efficient service, from taking orders to delivering food and beverages directly to guests’ rooms.
  • Set up and pack down the venue/outlet as required
  • Set up your work station – stock up on all the supplies you’ll need, manage your inventory and make sure all your equipment works
  • Working closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to deliver a truly seamless food and beverage service
  • Minimizing waste and keeping your supervisor or duty manager in the loop about any unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents
  • Taking on ad-hoc duties to keep the service running smoothly

 

What we need from you:

We are looking for positive people with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude! Our Neighborhood hosts will ideally bring a passion for the Adelaide region and be willing to immerse themselves to continually build their knowledge.

You will also have:

  • Experience & knowledge – strong bar skills and previous experience working in a hotel, restaurant or bar is essential
  • The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 23 kg, which can also involve bending and kneeling
  • Your strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
  • The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification (SA/Nationally Accredited) & Food Safety Certificate
  • The unrestricted right to work in Australia
