About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Groundsperson, to join our golf course maintenance team, and contribute towards in the maintenance and improvement of the resort grounds, which include the gardens, golf course and roads within the boundary of the resort.
Royal Pines is open 7 days week. Our golf course maintenance team work 38 hours per week. Shift time are Monday-Thursday 5.30am-2pm, Friday 5.30am-11.30am and one rotating weekend (Saturday & Sunday morning) per month. Availability to work these hours is required.

Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, this is an active hands on role, working in a team, autonomously or without supervision. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Perform general grounds duties such as planting, mowing, landscaping, applying fertilisers and water system maintenance
- Operate machinery and maintain equipment, performing safe work practices
- Ensure a high standard of quality presentation is maintained
- Complete tasks within the designated time frames and to a high standard
- Ensure a safe workplace is maintained
- Interact with guests and visitors to provide a high standard of customer service and a memorable experience
What you’ll need to be successful
- Groundsperson experience in a golf course or resort environment
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Turf Management qualification, desirable
- An understanding of golf course maintenance, horticulture and landscape procedure and techniques
- Operate equipment, basic repairs and maintenance
- Knowledge and handling of chemicals & supplies
- Understanding of irrigation and water quality systems, usage & maintenance
- Ability to perform physical requirements of manual labour & heavy lifting
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills and excellent personal presentation
- Work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail, take pride in work, use initiative and can problem solve
- An interest in the golf industry, desirable
