Due to the constant expansion of our Defence division, Downer has an opportunity available for a Groundsperson to join the team located at RAAF Base Townsville. The opportunity is Full Time with a night time roster: Mon -Wed 4:30pm -1am, Thursday 3:30pm -10pm, Sun 3:30pm – 12am. Free parking, uniforms, PPE and land maintenance equipment are supplied.

DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES:

Your day-to-day activities will be:

General Gardening: Mowing, Brush cutting; Edging; Pruning; Weed, pest and Disease control. These positions require you to operate a tractor so a MR Driver’s License is mandatory. ABOUT YOU

• • Suitability for Defence Security Clearance ( Australian citizenship mandatory )
  • Current MR Driver’s License
  • Experience working in a similar role desirable but not essential
  • High level of understanding and commitment to Zero Harm in the Workplace
  • Have resilience, a ‘can-do’ attitude and be adaptable.
