About the Opportunity  

The food services assistant works to the highest quality standards, ensuring all foods are handled and prepared according to the Food Safety Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling, sorting and distributing food items
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the main kitchen and serveries
  • Have a clear understanding of the dietary needs of residents
  • Understand the different textures and plating methods for textured modified foods
  • Assist residents with their requests
  • Maintain the dining room in a manner that enhances the dining experience for residents

About You 

You will have a Food Handling Qualification, and excellent team work and communication skills. You will be friendly and respectful in your approach to residents/clients and your co-workers, and take accountability for the quality of your work. You will be available to work morning and afternoon shifts across a 7-day roster.

You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
