As an Administration Assistant at Clarence Correctional Centre, you will provide high level administration support to the Clarence Correctional Centre.

 In this fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations, managing data, and fostering a respectful and culturally sensitive workplace.

As an Administration Assistant, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Visit Processing

  • Provide telephone and reception services to the Visits area
  • Enter visits bookings into the OIMs system
  • Answer any general queries in relation to public and official visits
  • Clearly communicate with members of the public and provide appropriate information
  • Ensure appropriate lines of communication are maintained between other departments and staff regarding visitor information
  •  Maintain confidentiality in all visits and inmate information

About Clarence Correctional Centre 

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional Centre in Australia. 

Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast approx. 6 hours’ drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes, and some of the best Australian beaches with a variety of multi-cultural cafes, restaurants, and friendly community towns.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A Certificate III or IV in Business Administration (desirable, but not essential)
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
