Our client is an international group active in the Biopharma sector, whose modern offices are located in Brussels. You will join a French-speaking team where a positive atmosphere reigns, and report directly to the Group CFO. As Head of Accounting, you supervise a team of 2 accountants.

Job Description

• Supervision of a team of 2 experienced accountants
• Maintaining and finalizing accounts for 2 Belgian entities of the group (BEGAAP)
• Maintaining the taxation of these two entities (VAT, ISOC)
• Declaration of regular reporting from two entities (BNB, quarterly group, etc.) in direct collaboration with the Senior Business Controller
• Privileged point of contact with the legislator, external audit, IT etc.
• Assistance with internal audit and improvement of accounting procedures
• Participation in ad-hoc projects (M&A, implementation of new IT tools, etc.)
• The Successful Applicant
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (a Master’s degree is an asset)
• Excellent level of French and good level of English (Dutch is an asset for this role)
• Recognized experience in managing an accounting team
• At least 7 years of experience in A-Z accounting, in BEGAAP
• Attention to detail, process improvement and participative team management are your essential qualities
• You naturally have an intellectual curiosity towards related projects (M&A, improvement of IT tools, etc.)
